Set within a rural meadow in Cramahe, Ontario, this single-storey house is designed as a quiet horizontal form embedded in the landscape. A long, low roofline and restrained material palette of weathered wood, metal, and glass allow the building to sit lightly against the surrounding grasses and tree line.

The house is organized to frame expansive views while maintaining a sense of shelter and privacy. Deep overhangs, covered outdoor rooms, and carefully placed openings create a strong connection between interior life and the changing conditions of the site. Rather than standing apart from its setting, the project is conceived as an extension of the field—modest, durable, and deeply tied to the rural character of Cramahe.
